The Travelers Claim Systems organization is looking for entry-level application development professionals. Candidates should be self-starting, energetic, and creative individuals interested in starting their Information Technology career in a challenging and fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth and personal success.

The Travelers Claim Systems organization is responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining and operating the application software, hardware, and platforms that provide support for the Claim business division. Claim Systems operates currently on a wide variety of processing platforms, including mainframe and distributed, and utilizes a wide variety of in-house developed and vendor software. Applicants should be interested in working with current staff to take on the challenge of moving the Claim Systems architecture and platforms into new functionality and platforms, while continuing to provide high quality support for the existing environment.

Criteria for applying:
This is an entry-level position. Candidates should be recent college graduates or soon to graduate, and/or have one to two years of internship (or co-op), part-time, or full-time experience in a related field.
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems
- Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Demonstrated knowledge in the following areas:
o Programming Languages: Java, .Net, C++, COBOL, Visual Basic
o Platforms: Mainframe, Windows, Unix
o Databases: SQL, Oracle, Lotus Notes, DB2, IMS, CICS, Teradata
- Candidates should also display:
o Passion for technology and business
o Motivation to succeed
o Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and analytical skills
o Participation in activities outside of school/work (extracurricular involvement, community service, etc.)
Please note: Candidates must be able to show eligibility to work for Travelers in the U.S., on a full time basis, within 3 days of employment.
