Program Summary

The Subrogation Trainee Development Program begins with on the job training in our National Recovery Center located in Reading, PA. You will receive technical training that includes investigative techniques, learning and applying theories of liability, and effective negotiation skills. Risk Management and Evidence Management basics are taught by engineers who work side by side with you. Trainees attend our state of the art Claim University and Forensics Lab located in Windsor, CT. You will work closely with our Legal department and be involved in mediations and arbitration.



Successful completion of the development program leads to advancement to the Subrogation Claim Representative position.



Primary Duties:

-Participate in the training program with consistent progression, while meeting all quality standards and expectations per Best and Desk Practices.

-Achieve timely and optimal recovery results and customer service expectations on file inventory.

-Guide and direct the Workers- Compensation Claim Professional in the initial investigation such as obtaining police reports, scene investigations, securing evidence and scene photos, contracts, leases, agreements from insured-s, claimants, agents, attorneys and witnesses to identify and determine theory of liability and potential responsible parties.

-Once Subrogation potential has been confirmed, preserve all physical evidence according to guidelines.

-Aggressively pursue, negotiate and resolve claims. This includes communication with insured-s, Major Case, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, experts and underwriters in order to obtain and/or provide the necessary information.

-Maintain quality files and computerized file documentation, with appropriate follow-up and diary dates to maximize timely recoveries.

-Communicate professionally and effectively and provide appropriate updates, information and direction. Provide exceptional customer service to all partners and customers.

-Develop creative resolution strategies and assert all legal rights to recover payout through direct settlement, mediation, arbitration and litigation.

Education/course of study:

-College degree or equivalent work experience preferred

-Experienced Paralegals, Liability Claims Professionals and Subrogation Claims
