Exploring Possibilities in Tech Architecture: Jake’s Career Journey at Travelers

As a Senior Architect in Enterprise Technology Solutions, Jake combines his inquisitive nature and functional expertise to help shape how Travelers approaches new technologies. 

With a degree in computer science and a minor in computer engineering, Jake began his career in software development and database administration at a government agency supporting unmanned spacecraft. He expanded into automation for military and government projects and held technical roles at a tech startup, establishing technology centers of excellence for healthcare organizations.  

In 2023, he joined Travelers where he partners closely with the business and does what he enjoys most — coming up with innovative approaches and ideas that make an impact. 

“At Travelers, we get to focus on what’s next,” Jake says. “We’ve got a really strong tech foundation, and we’re building on it with meaningful, scalable solutions.” 

As an architect, Jake bridges the gap between technology and business —exploring ways to integrate AI to make processes smarter.  

As an architect, Jake bridges technology and business, exploring AI integration to enhance processes. Outside of work, he’s a “serial hobbyist,” engaging in Formula 1600 racing, scuba diving, coral reef restoration and animal care. 

At Travelers, technologists like Jake are helping shape what’s next in AI, automation and architecture — building systems that make work smarter, faster and more connected.
