In 2019, we contributed more than $24 million to the communities where we live and work, for a total of more than $233 million over the past decade. But it’s more than financial contributions. Our employees are strong corporate citizens and valuable assets to their hometowns.
In 2019, our employees gave more than 130,000 hours of their time toward important causes. We do not limit the number of paid volunteer hours an employee can take during the year. Each employee works directly with their manager to balance volunteering with their job responsibilities.
And we do what we can to support our employees’ community initiatives. In 2019, we provided more than $1.3 million to match employee charitable contributions of time and treasure and more than $850,000 in funding to support team employee volunteer initiatives that helped nonprofits across the United States and Canada.
