The Travelers dental plan provides protection for preventive care and more complex services, and the Travelers vision plan covers vision testing, frames and lenses.
Prescription Drug Coverage
Employees who enroll in any of the Travelers medical plan options automatically receive prescription drug coverage.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Travelers offers both a health care spending account and a dependent care spending account that let employees use pre-tax payroll deductions to fund a wide range of qualifying expenses not covered by insurance.
Fitness Center Discounts
Travelers offers a fitness center discount program with a low-cost membership fee and access to clubs nationwide. We also offer free weight management programs as part of all Travelers medical plans, and employee-preferred pricing for WW (Weight Watchers).
Paid Holidays and Time Off

Company-Paid Identity Theft Coverage
The Travelers company-paid identity fraud coverage protects employees and their eligible family members if they fall victim to identity fraud. The policy provides expense reimbursement and dedicated fraud specialists to help restore financial health and credit history.
Travelers provides a maximum of 13 weeks of short-term disability leave in a calendar year. The first eight weeks are paid at 100 percent of base salary, and the next five weeks at 80 percent. We also offer long-term disability benefits.
Travelers provides basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance to eligible employees at no cost. Employees can also purchase additional life and AD&D insurance for themselves, spouses/domestic partners and children.
401(k) Savings Plan with Company Match
Employees are immediately eligible to contribute to the Travelers 401(k) plan, and may make either pre-tax 401(k) or after-tax Roth(k) contributions. Travelers matches employee contributions dollar-for-dollar up to 5 percent of eligible pay, up to an annual maximum of $6,500.
Company-Funded Pension Plan
Eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the company’s pension plan, which is 100 percent funded by Travelers. Employees accrue annual pay credits of 2 to 6 percent, based on age and years of service, as well as quarterly interest credits.
Home and Auto Insurance Discounts
Employees can apply for coverage through the Travelers Auto and Home Insurance Program, which offers competitive rates and exclusive savings on auto, homeowners, condominium and renters insurance. Plus, employees have the option of conveniently paying premiums through payroll deduction.
401(k) Paying It Forward Savings Program
With the new Paying It Forward Savings Program, payments by eligible employees toward their student loans will qualify for company matching contributions to the 401(k) plan. Employees who participate in the program could accumulate tens of thousands of dollars in their 401(k) accounts over a decade, which could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars at retirement.
Employee Assistance Program: Life Balance
Through Life Balance, employees and their family members have access to professional counseling services and work-life seminars, resources and referrals. The program is free, confidential and available 24/7.
Educational Assistance Program
Travelers offers an Educational Assistance Program to help pay the cost of eligible classes and professional designation and certification programs, up to $5,250 each year. Travelers also offers tuition discounts at some universities.
Child Care Center Discounts
Travelers has negotiated discounts with several national child care centers. We also offer a dependent care spending account that employees can use to pay for eligible child care expenses through pre-tax payroll deductions.
Travelers reimburses employees for eligible adoption expenses, up to $5,000 per adopted child. Eligible employees may also take up to 10 days of paid parental leave within the first year after the adoption of a child.
