What Is the Opportunity?
Travelers is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our London office on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a leadership role within a dynamic and highly regarded insurance business.
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial close process for Travelers’ London Market business while managing a team of two Senior Accountants. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly financial reporting to our teams in the US, as well as maintaining a strong general ledger and control framework. The role also involves conducting analytical reviews and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
We are looking for a candidate with strong technical insurance accounting knowledge, as this is essential for the role. Experience in managing a team or team members, general ledger and financial controls is required. A background in audit with strong technical expertise would also be suitable. A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred, but we will also consider candidates who are qualified by experience. Additionally, Lloyd’s reporting experience would be advantageous.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.
